Lab Coordinator/Assistant to Dr. Majzner
Brooke English has a bachelor’s degree in communications and is currently studying to earn her master’s in social work. She is also the collaborator with Sherry Turkle, MIT professor and bestselling author, on her forthcoming book about the direction(s) our society seems to be heading with certain uses of technology (especially with regard to AI) that are causing harm and even erosion to our interpersonal relationships, mental health, and culture at large. Brooke has been in the healthcare sector for several years. She worked at Tufts Medical Center many moons ago before moving to and living in Germany for four years, then as an assistant to the Clinical Director in Thoracic Oncology here at Dana Farber for four years prior to her joining the Majzner Lab. In her free time, Brooke spends a majority of it immersed in the written word, either reading it or writing her own (she’s written two novels, one of which she is pouring her heart into hopefully getting published), as well as loves to exercise/work out, spend time outdoors, experiment with baking healthier desserts (gluten-free, low sugar, etc), drink lots of green tea, and spend time with her loved ones/friends frequently.
