Stefano Testa, MD

Research Fellow

Stefano is a physician-scientist and hematology-oncology fellow at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical center. He obtained his MD from the University of Naples Federico II in Italy, and then moved to Stanford, California where he worked as post-doctoral scholar for 2 years in the laboratory of Dr. Ronald Levy, focusing on intra-tumoral vaccines and mRNA therapeutics. He then completed internal medicine residency at Stanford before moving to Boston for fellowship. As a research fellow in the Majzner lab, Stefano is involved in a collaborative project with the Moding and Kalbasi labs at Stanford, focusing on CAR-T target identification for solid tumors with a special focus on soft tissue and bone sarcomas. Stefano is passionate about the potential of cellular therapy for solid tumors and is excited to make this treatment modality more broadly available for patients. Outside of the lab, Stefano loves to spend time with his wife and two dogs, hiking and all sports, especially soccer.
