Won-Ju Kim received his Ph.D. in 2019 from Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea, where he developed a transcutaneous phosphatase protein drug for treating inflammatory skin diseases under the supervision of Dr. Je-Min Choi. With a keen interest in cell engineering and CAR T cell therapy for tumors, Won-Ju joined Dr. Majzner’s lab as a postdoctoral fellow in 2021. He is currently focused on developing ganglioside-targeting CAR T cells to improve current therapies.
