Xin Du graduated from Shanghai Medical College, Fudan University, China and received his PhD in 2021 from the University of Melbourne, Australia. During his PhD training in Peter MacCallum Cancer Center, he developed methods by targeting protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) to enhance CAR T cell anti-tumor efficacy. Driven by a profound interest in rebuilding the CAR structures to optimize the safety and efficacy of CAR T cells against solid tumors, Xin joined Dr. Majzner’s lab as a postdoctoral fellow in 2023 where his current research endeavors revolve around comprehending the intricate CAR proximal signaling networks and re-engineering CAR constructs.
